Do you know a myrmidon?

Perhaps. The word is similar in Spanish (mirmidón), and it refers to a person or mortals who blindly (ciegamente) or unquestioningly (incondicionalmente) follow orders.

Examine these examples:

• The Spanish cabinet (gabinete) is full of myrmidons (lleno de esbirros o secuaces fieles). The cabinet members do whatever the Prime Minister says, never questioning what he demands.

• Mr. Biden will order (mandaré) his party not to criticize the adminstration´s policies. His party is full of myrmidons (mirmidones).

So are you a myrmidon? Or do you know a myrmidon?
