Crag and craggy

Crag and craggy

“Crag” (risco) you may know. Mountains and cliffs sometimes have crags. Those mountains are craggy.

However, there is another use of “craggy” A person can have a craggy (rocoso) face, that is, with lots of lines, perhaps produced by harsh (rigoroso) weather conditions.

An example: he has a craggy weather-beaten face (…un rostro curtido y de facciones bien marcardas).
